The Month In Dramaturgy~! [JAN C.Y +5]
This month flew by pretty quickly! Ever since I received my posting as Dramaturg of House Delaroux, it has been quite the whirlwind of events!
Things That Went Well
Making Music With Suno - One of the big pushes I said I wanted to do was to "encode story into song". I think I did that somewhat with the three mini-album tracks, "Valerie of Vespana", "Satella, The Last Starlight", and "Morganna Who Perseveres"! Pretty much the entirety of what has been planned for Princess Wars is encoded into song, its a very nice feeling when I can recall important plot points without having to look through my notes!
Learning Music With Miss Delulz - The past month I also learnt a whole bunch of music terms and ideas from Miss Delulz! Its all really basic stuff like the structuring of a song! Learning the elements of what makes up a song while being able to get instant feedback from making AI music is very useful, I will continue doing it for a bit longer!
NEXT: I would like the month of February to be my first steps in making lyrical songs. I kind of have a structure to making instrumental songs, have a basic idea of the other instruments in an orchestra, and now I want to apply it to the next step: songs that have lyrics!
For instrumentals, I will continue experimenting in the field of:
Dark Electro
Bubblegum pop
Epic Orchestral
In future months, I'll experiment with 'overlaying' or do that in between periods where I am not able to come up with lyrics.
Princess Wars Is Being Written - I think I will continue to push through with the story of 《Princess Wars》. The first twelve chapters are slated to go up on HouseDelaroux.com by the 27th, so I hope that I make it! There's a lot of things that need to be fleshed out, like the system, so I hope to get that done by the 27th so you have a complete story to work with!
Things That Didn't Go So Well
Making Loose Tracks - I am always a little embarrassed to put up loose tracks that I made in my spare time or out of a whimsy, not because they sound bad, but because they feel really 'isolated' from a story I want to tell! Maybe one thing better is to simply put stuff up on youtube, but group them in playlists so that stuff makes sense. Otherwise, it looks like the only thing I did this month was the 《Princess Wars》 theme tracks!
Fitting My Agenda - I find myself overworked and overstressed from having too many things I want to do! As such, even though I kept an agenda on youtube, I find that I do not follow it very much... I think I need to be clearer on what I want to do for the next weeks!
I should also pay attention to holidays more, since I didn't except to be surveying the Southern Country during its Lantern Rite Festival, and that really delayed my schedule a lot! If I am stressed out, I don't function well!
Dramaturgy And Being The Face Of House Delaroux - I spend most of my time working with actresses, and in my free time, making music and writing, so even though I opened a moderately successful front in RedNote, I haven't been following much on it! There is just too much to do! Currently, I have reduced the rate of videos to 2-3 a week to fit inside my workload. I would love to be able to point at the camera and speak, but sadly, it isn't that easy right now!
Curtains Call
Its been a really happening month! Making my own music and first steps in finding an audience have been promising! However, when I delve too deeply into my work, I tend to shut people out! I should find a way to get around this...
