Bitsbourough, Rosecrescent Lake.
Two figures stroll along the lake's outer concrete path. One, a boy with gilt-leafed hair makes heavy, but silent steps on the pavement. His boots hit hard on the wintery gravel, something that does not go unnoticed by his companion!
"Reroo~ You walk so fast~"
This companion at his side is none other than the dark-haired stage director, Miss. Delulz. It has only been a month since they moved into their uncle's theatre house, and Reurent was up to his bad habits again!
Even when they were children, Reurent outpaced most kids his age. Now, a decade later, an ordinary human would need to take two strides just to match one of his! Not only that, Reroo walks fast. Faster than is needed, always in a hurry!
But Miss. Delulz is no ordinary human.
For starters, she is extraordinarily tall. Almost as tall as her beloved Reroo!
Stride-for-stride, they were perfectly matched!
"The point of going for a walk," the purple eyed clinger-on exclaims, "is to slow down and enjoy the scenery~" Tugging at the under-elbow of her companion's red coat, she flits her eyelashes with mischievous flair at what should be an obvious conclusion!
Incredibly, it worked.
The thudding footsteps slowed, and continued with gentler pacing.
The boy's ankles did not hurt as much now.
Perhaps it was odd, how this girl has a mysterious influence over her companion. From when they were children, through their days together in college, and now sharing a roof under an inherited theatre house. The boy however, would not have it any other way.
Giving a misty exhale, Reurent Incognito takes in the greenery and sounds of children at play. Rosecrescent Lake has the word 'crescent' in its name, but it really is a circular body of water. Its name comes from the crescent-shaped islet that lies above the middle of this lake, the site of their shared theatre house amongst the reeds. The lake is private property, but has long since opened itself up under the new stage director's request. At once, the residents of Bitsborough found a second home in the area around the lake, bringing in children, pets and all manner of recreation with them.
"I would feel bad if I didn't have anything to show your uncle..."
As they slowed their pace, Reurent turns to notice the kids playing by the safety fences near the lake; they had thrown a pellet-sized firecracker onto the ground, which bounced right off into the lake below! Little giggles are mixed with covered ears as they braced for the explosion which never came! Well! Of course not! Firecrackers don't do too well in water! It was little sights like this which were too easily missed if one was cooped up in the studio on a nice day like this!
"Relax, Reroo~ We're doing fine~ The new actresses will move in tomorrow~"
Releasing her hold on the arm, she skips ahead and slightly bends her spine, tapping the center of her dramaturg's chest, right on his tie.
"'What you have done already, won't go away!' Isn't that what my Reroo likes to say??"
The girl with the bright purple eyes always had a way of knowing his thoughts. He had worried about how little work had been done building back the theatre house; that it could be faster, more people could be brought in, more money could be made...
If he slowed down a bit, he would see that he had done quite a bit!
Slowing down wasn't in Reroo's nature.
That's why, its moi' job to remind him to breathe, every so often!
The big man stopped by a single finger, finally relaxes his tense shoulders.
"Alright, Miss. Delulz, let's enjoy the scenery a little more."
