"Get up. You're being useless again." - Oración
Domo domo, Author-kun des.
Well it's been two weeks and the high from finishing /Conspiracy/ Girls has finally caught up with me. In the two weeks, I made a trip down to South Buglandia, returned to Port Coimbra, wrote a part of my NaNiWriMo project, and finally, Author-kun is back in his tiny village, caught up in endless Fluworld, lockdowns and pandemics and all.
Endless Fluworld
"Oh noes. Anyway..." - Madi-san, probably
It's finally caught up with the tiny village that Author-kun is living in, but I am not able to go to the capital anymore due to the Fluworld restrictions. Don't worry, the village is pretty much a food provider and we'll live somewhat. The merchants in the city might be in for a tough time without the proper logistics, but if there's anything I am capable of, it's a good amount of trickery to get goods moving.
Apparently the Bugmen have a new word for Fluworld, 《En Silencio》, which means a semi-lockdown where nothing moves. For a couple of days, I'm sure all the big foreign companies will come straight back to do business after you fuck with them for the Xth time now! I'm not sure of the logic behind this, is it to evade prying ayys who are scoping out Buglandia from outer space? I dunno. But apparently Editor-san's been caught up in the whole mess too.
Thankfully I returned from my southern inspection and meeting with Editor-san before all this happened. Don't worry, I'll eat a little less, but I haven't gone to the extend of eating bugs yet. It does make me NEED to move, because we might go into chaos style anarchy, and not even the mild Jordan Peterson kind so long as this goes on.
A Lotta On My Plate
"Then make less things to do."
After finishing my book I really had a lot things I wanted to do! I wanted to write a podcast, a youtube channel, and write a new book, which is all good and all, but like my VERY INTERESTING gacha games, the human body has an energy limit, and every day the things I can do is limited. We aren't all Katherines from the Adventurer's Guild here.
So... What's important? Writing is important. Getting the word out is important. So I'll put this up in front. A new podcast episode should be up soon (VPN Willing). I also want to continue writing my NaNiWriMo project, which has morphed into writing short one-shots to test out the style I want to write next.
I already have two major stories in mind;
The Sunset and the Sorceress (SNS) - A sorceress and her lover escape a messed up medieval world
The Princess Wars (PWR) - About cute girls who commit war crimes to overthrow an unjust world
Interestingly enough, while writing material for my new books, I came up with even more /Conspiracy/ Girls material and have been steadily drifting off in that direction. Go figure. It happened the last time after writing my pilot episode too. I guess I am very naturally inclined to writing about cute girls doing cute things...?
Return to Granado Espada
“mfw I remember where Annalie’s chara settings came from”
Of course, after writing a whole story about my old haunt in Coimbra, I decided to return to Coimbra proper to see it off. A lot of things have changed in the New World then, new people really have it way easier now, Evil class weapons are given out for free to anyone, and you can comfortable go all the way up until the end of Illusia with them. The higher level areas might as well be inaccessible though because the bots are farming every inch of land in Altria, but it's all good, I can stop after Illusia anyway.
The gameplay is still the same old, same old, janky, weird, and unresponsive at times, but it does have a certain charm to it, botters aside. It does show what happens if you let the Bugmen take over your cities; everything is taxed to hell and inflation is unbearable to the billions. No normal person is gonna put up with that...
Returning to the New World is a little bit of a culture shock/throwback, because there are people in live chat instead of the sterilized no-chat that goes on nowadays in every other game of this type. A really big change in how I worked is that I am much more willing to find help instead of playing alone now, but I do still mostly play alone; outta shame more than anything because most bots have way better equips than me after a whole five years of abscence.
Last Scene
Well, that's about it for what I want to say. I am still extremely proud of /Conspiracy/ Girls, and I marked the end of my victory declaration last week. I shall continue writing for myself from here onwards.
Things to Do:
A) Finish NaNiWriMo
B) Upload the latest podcast episode, continue working on podcast
C) Work on Christmas Episode
