The Ritual Executioner’s Artifact Set Part 2

RITUAL EXECUTOR'S HEADDRESS

Two shots rang out in the chamber. One for the collar around her neck, then the other for the chains on her shackles.

"For the love of Sherlyn, Satella!"

"What? I'm undoing her shackles."

"I have the keys right here---!"

"It's faster this way. Besides..."

"... I see that still hasn't put the fear of death in you."

The Nameless Assassin lifts her head, the collar on her neck perfectly pierced through by the shell, falling on the floor. Through her pink bangs, she eyes the golden-haired princess casually twirling the still-smoking rifle by the trigger, who one-handedly shoulders it with a shrug and smirking feigned innocence.

"... Seventeenth."

"What a complete s..."

The white-robed escort curses his princess' recklessness, his identity apparent now. The ghostly key dissolving into the remnants of the cuffs around her wrist, they open and drop worthlessly on the white stone.

RITUAL EXECUTIONER'S FEATHER

Master later explained that the room was built as a ritual room, a relic from olden days long past. Prisoners would be knelt before the altar, and bled endlessly. The blood would flow from the prisoner's vitals along the platform engraving until it was painted red. Until that happened, the lock on the room would not undo itself.

He also mentioned some mumbo-jumbo about death symbolism and things I didn't get. I think Satella explained it better:

"For all intents and purposes, you're dead."

"Whatever shackles, grudges or obligations you got before now, I don't give a $%^&---!"

"You live your own life now!"

"Oh, you probably will need some help, so..."

Master complained endlessly that day, but his princess assigned him a new charge that day.

Last Word - Something a little different here, I would like to write small, short stories like those of artifact sets in Dark Souls or Genshin impact. It’s less stressful since I am recovering from frostbite and the cold. I’ll post these in advance somewhat.
