The Month In AI (SEPTEMBER 23’)

Domo domo, Author-kun des.

This month was mostly an experiment in doing what comes naturally to me. Somehow I started writing a storm again. I would like to continue my writing on top of all the PIXIV stuff I am doing.

Viola is doing pretty well for herself! I occasionally go down to have a cup of coffee when the cafe is less crowded.

Original Plans

My original plan was to work out a pamphlet of sorts, detailing how to do AI art, but a few problems came up that made me abandon the idea.

Reasoning

1) it would have to be written in a nice, censored and readable manner, posted on a nice clean website, scrubbed for visibility, completely antithetical to what I am doing. It's also part of why I dread doing clips on youtube, many of the people I like watching always talk about dreading that youtube strike and are always censoring themselves or going "oh wait, is the algorithm going to like this?"

I'd prefer to not live a double life, I am who I am, so maybe these places and people are not for me.

2) AI Art takes up too much of my time. Making, researching, learning AI Art all takes time. When I look at all the "aI cANNOT mAKE aNYTHING iT hASN'T sEEN" videos, it is striking to me how they use really bad western prompting and expect to get good results.

These people haven't even scratched the surface of AI wizardry and somehow Custard is making bold claims about how AI art is bad, and in the same breathless breath muttering about how it is taking away jobs. I don't understand how the bad art is taking away jobs, but ogey rrat.

October Plan

The plan for November scrapped, I decided to focus on what I would do naturally if I had the time to do it; I found that my work fell into two major areas, writing and making AI art.

There are two areas for AI Art, lewd and non-lewd. Most of /Conspiracy/ Girls stuff is non-lewd and handled by me. You don't see a lot of it, because it is very much in the concept stage, so it appears in the weekly roundups, but not much anywhere else. Most people don't really pay attention to the non-lewd art sadly, so I shall have Viola continue her work while I do mine in the background. (mostly upscaling, refining etc)

  • Finish Profiles for The First and Sunset, Kess and Tula.

  • Finish Profiles for La-Roux and Sachi'In.

  • Write Pilot Episode for "Debut".

  • Write "The Graven Influence".

This is all on top of the regular PIXIV posting. I feel that's a lot of work already, so I shouldn't get lazy.

The Three Areas of Writing

/Conspiracy/ Girls

There are three areas for my writing. The first is [[/Conspiracy/ Girls]], which is 100% seiso, maybe it has the odd ecchi moment, but nothing PG13. You could watch it like a Cardcaptor Sakura episode and nothing would happen. It's a comedy that deals with the chans and conspiracies in a cute and funny way.

I have been working on a prequel to "Madness" called "Debut", where Madison Delaroux (13) builds a computer and is able to access our internet, learning all about 4chan and about vtubers. Thus, the very logical next step in the conspiracy-minded Madison is to expose the glowies through vtubing! "Debut" will cover her journey to be an aspiring vtuber (mostly 2view), as she incidentally exposes a plot to remove the Sunset family's seat in the Princess' Court. The Slice-Of-Life will mostly be her preparing for her debut, getting a model done, trying to not get doxxed by nosy journos etc.

The format will follow standard SoL in the morning, conspiracies at night, with Madi-san mostly trying to figure out how to become a vtuber, while Sachiko her expose glowies and their evil plots at night. I won't say it's Evil Twins, but it is Evil Twins. I don't think this part of /Conspiracy/ Girls would have been born if not for Fuwamoco providing a template for how to do double youtubers, something that I have been trying to work out for a long time.

Princess Wars

The second is [[Princess Wars]]. Princess Wars is written for a far older audience, since there is a lot of X-rated (not Elon's site) themes. I am currently writing them as if they were documentaries, because I like Legend of the Galactic Heroes very much. (which uses a similar style for some episodes) Princess Wars tells the story of the founding of Vespana and the New Continent, and the brutal and cruel war where the founders triumphed over shapeshifting evil aliens called [[Bugmen]]. (spoiler? spoiler, but it's hinted at in multiple profiles)

I like writing the Princess Wars since it has always been a big goal of mine to write something to rival Three Kingdoms, which I base events in the Princess Wars loosely on. Even the word "Shirohime" is a play on a certain location that spelt the downfall of Shu.

Currently Princess Wars is the most-written storyline, if you can call it that. It's still in the very rough planning stages, with the pieces slowly put in place. We shall see what happens afterwards in October.

Sunset and the Sorceress

The last story I would like to write about is [[The Sunset and the Sorceress]], set a few years before [[Princess Wars]], in roughly the same Demons Roots-esque setting. It tells the story of an undead sorceress and her amnesiac companion/lover as they must traverse the New Continent while being constantly stopped by The Eunarchy. Shades of Mori and the plot literally rips off Guan Yu's own epic journey to find Liu Bei. While I enjoy the concept, it hasn't really been fleshed out. One reason might be that its a bad idea that I like. Originally it was going to be set in Oracion's perspective, but Oracion is a 'fucking jobber' in Madi-san's words, so it was really hard to write for her. Plus, she's far more a villainess here, even if she is only pretending.

I think I would like to revisit this concept one day, but from the angle of love comedy. In [[Sunset]], the story is a funny story told by Old Man Sunset to the young girls at the orphanage. In particular, as he tells the story, he's allowing the girls to narrate bits and parts of the story, so it also takes the personality of the narrator when that happens. Sachiko (9) was really emo and goth at that time, so she reads everything in [[Sunset]] as a tragedy. The Old Man and Madison see the story for what it actually is, and there are a lot of bright and cheerful moments in it. It's sort of like Umineko Ep6.

Sadly, because of the severe overlap in setting (and probably because it ends in a traditional tragedy) with Princess Wars AND /HDG/, [[Sunset]] always gets put by the wayside. It's more supplementary lore for Princess Wars and the world of the New Continent.

/Heroine Defeat General/

There's also the story of /HDG/ and how the Shogunate came about. It tells the story of a Lu Bu-like character trying his best to be an evil character so he can have a harem, but failing and causing all sorts of headaches for the real assholes of the continent. It takes a multi-pronged alliance to take down his tiny fort at Endton, and even then his main harem escapes, with Lord Sunset only barely besting him atop the Silveryn Mountains.

This one is the most yabai of everything I write, and also the one that I didn't write at all this month. In truth the main story has been written up until the Shogun runs Dubess off her throne at Endton Keep and meets Lord Sunset (incognito). The key reason is that Author-kun here really sucks at writing seggs scenes. I lost an important right hand in Shogun-sama and I don't think I will recover anytime soon. Is this how how Yang Wenli felt back then?

I'll still continue to practice writing this genre, since it might come up in Princess Wars (probably since Constitutional Slavery is in effect there), but it will be rare and mostly limited to nightmares. I think I can practice a bit writing something for Viola, but as mentioned last month, /HDG/ is on the back burner for now.

Last Word

I think I will continue writing Princess Wars profiles for all the Founders, and see how it goes from there. The story I want to write the most is "Debut", since I like vtubers a lot, and it has been a long time coming. I think its the most marketable since it is the most seiso as well. It's seiso, but its also kinda ecchi like how Nerissa acts, so I think more people will enjoy it. Princess Wars is rather Game of Thrones without the seggs happening to the main characters, so it might not be for everyone.

Plans change with my mood and how easy it is to write scenes, which I have been increasingly doing to test out whether an idea is worth pursuing.
