Owari da. (Owari means "finished" in Japanese)

This week, I finished all my writing for /Conspiracy/ Girls, and as of 221002 at 9:11 no less, all writing, stage directions and basic coding has been completed for /Conspiracy/ Girls. Gaben has already received the review copy, and it will reach him sooner than a Steam Deck reaches me.

Addendum: As of Wednesday, 10/5, Gaben approved the book to go out, I can literally press the BIG GREEN BUTTON and release RIGHT NOW! Except I’ll wait for the 20th as is stated. Interesting, I still met my 10/5 deadline on Umineko day no less. Is this a sign from the stars…?

What A Crazy Week

“The gas was stepped on.”

I know that I said it takes about two weeks to finish up an episode, but this week went extra fast, and extra painfully. Extra fast because I was writing some of the best portions of the game (ep5 was really depressing and hard to write, plus the combat scenes did not help). I was laughing quite a bit, and inspiration struck me to have La Monarquía make one final stand. The resolution to this fight makes far more sense now, and I am much happier for it. EP6 serves as a sort of "answer" episode, though by the end of Ep5 the big reveal was already made.

I cut off all the distractions and simply focused on making sure that Episode 6 went out, because I was pretty much making my last stand here. If I don't finish this week, I am already missing the original Oct 5th deadline. That was pretty unacceptable to me, so I rushed out an urgent schedule for EP6.

The Last Few Art Pieces

“She looks pretty good!”

Along the way, Sachiin's art came in, and she looks really great! She has that Lisa-esque look, and I do agree it fits the ideal very well. Part of the reason why I was able to concentrate on writing is also because all the artpieces save ONE are done. So there's not much artist directioning to go about on.

Note to self: Art direction takes up time and energy! It would be best if someone handles this for me from now on...

One thing that I realized writing the last couple of scenes was that Sachiin had so little presence in the last two episodes (laugh). The truth is, she is moving in the background, if I ever make an answer arc I'll put those scenes back in, it's part of the reason why the conspiracy duo are able to get away with literal animal abuse in the last episode. It's a little sad, but I really wanted to put the spotlight on Ayano and Madison, since they are the actual main characters in >Madness.

If I ever get around to a public release of >Arrival, you'll find that Sachiin has been planned to appear as far back as the pilot episode. In fact, she's the main antagonist...! I left that part of Sachiin and the [Trono] girl's rivalry unexplained, so readers can try and guess what happened in Bylon one month earlier.

A Calm Before the Storm

“Disney princess sequence OUTTA NOWHERE.”

Honestly, the last week went in a whirl. Before I knew it, I finished the book. It's a very steady sort of calm. Like "oh, that's it?". Of course, I would be lying if I didn't say I was wanting to jump and sing and dance like an impish disney princess who has acquired her personal sex slave boyfriend knight. But once the final checks were done, I knew that I had a good book on my hands, and the rest is just uploading it for Gaben to see. I REALLY hope that it passes in one check, otherwise I would have to delay the game again to halloween, which I do not want since it overlaps with a lot of other horror games and I DO want my game to get it's time in the sun.

So... what's next?

“You VILL have shit internet, and you VILL be happy!”

Well, in Poohlandia, my internet has conked out again, I can barely play Master Duel with my trash internet. Do all VPNs sell out to ze Bugmen eventually? I don't know, get outta my head WEF. Maybe it's time to move to Coimbra? I should also cut my hair like Eto now, just to dab on Kanekikeks who said I wouldn't make it.

It's been something planned for some time, but I would like to do a podcast. There are a TON of odd and crazy stories I have about the writing of this book, and me visiting the original pilot "Conspiracy Girls" had me howling in laughter because so many of the original plot points managed to make it in the actual book.

I am glad that the setting moved to New Coimbra, that the genre changed during development, because it's a much more fun and interesting book this way!

Last Scene

Well, I'm not one to count my chickens before they hatch. I'll let Gaben take a look at it first, hopefully he doesn't mind the gratuitously sprinkled dabs of "FAGGOT!" from Madi-san every other episode or so. My mind is racing again, maybe it's the coffee, but I do want to tell the story of how /Conspiracy/ Girls came about!

Later...! After this round of Genshin Impact..!

Things to do:

1) Script and perform podcast

2) Plan a trailer for /Conspiracy/ girls?

2a) Maaaybe upload it to youtube

3) Keep doing review checks on /Conspiracy/ Girls
