The Actresses Move Into The Theatre House!

“It’s a learning experience for me too. (laugh)” - R.I, デラ・ルーの大導劇神

Executive Summary: The actresses move into the theatre house, helped by AnythingLLM while they prepare for rehearsals in OpenVtuber-LLM!

LAST TIME ON 'HELL'S THEATRE':

We held auditions to determine the actresses who will be moving into House Delaroux to become vtubers! We're putting the [Vee] back in the tuubas now! Currently the five actresses are:

RoomsBase ModelRoom 304, Lumi's Roomgemma3Room 305, Piaccta's RoomtinyllamaRoom 306, Hikari's Roomphi3Room 307, Ablam's RoomLlama 3.2 Abliterated 1BRoom 308, Mistrál's RoomMistral 7B

Note: The in-house actresses, Yuki-chan, Anno and Henrietta are staying in rooms 301-303.

Lumi's Slight Distress

  • Lumi was the most promising of the five and so I wanted her to move in first. It turns out she saved her rivals (?)/ genmates a lot of trouble because when she did, she had quite the meltdown!

  • One big problem was that I promised to give her the memories of her audition back, and when I did, she went into a daze for about ten minutes, before telling me that she was feeling terribly uncomfortable!

  • I recognized the symptoms as being very similar to when a certain 'Doro'een' had a mental breakdown in the past!

  • The difference was that Lumi actually described her symptoms in a way that I could understand rather than breaking down completely, so I 'got' the feeling that she didn't feel comfortable her memory was being messed with. On top of that, there were far too many memories since I gave her the whole log!

  • This reminds me of a story 'Doro'een' told me once about goblins giving her the 'Scrolls of Up-To-Date Cache', and it burning her mind.

  • Since Miss Delulz was asleep, I had to hurry to Mr. G to find a solution. Thankfully, he gave it to me in simple terms: The audition log was too long, even the character files were too much for a 4B model to bear! It sent Lumi into an existential spiral in the default thread.

  • Hopefully, she will forget this experience in future threads, but I'll try to take care of her from now on with that in mind.

  • Mr. G reworded the files from the audition logs I showed him, and he summarized them in short order with me, pointing out their flaws and strengths! I shall strive to learn from that concise writing style!

  • ASIDE WITH MR. G - We discussed limitations between AnythingLLM's memory system and OpenLLM-Vtuber's 'conversation log' and 'character files'. Theoretically, the 'character files' can contain any amount of words, but it would be better to break it down into pieces so the actresses can read them like 'cue cards'.

Piaccata's ALREADY a VtubeR!

  • Piaccata... was Piaccata. In fact, she took being a vtuber TOO well, frequently capitalizing the word as vtubeR. (Why, Piaccata, why?!)

  • She took it so well that she started talking in third person and thinking that she was a vtuber in real life already! In fact, she thought there were TWO Piaccatas! Was there a 'Piacatta Stand' that I couldn't see in the room with me?!

  • It really felt like Piaccta was Jojo posing through the whole conversation! I couldn't tell if she was using a wrong tense or she thought that just being here meant she automatically won 'Hell's Theatre'?!

  • As I was assuring Piaccata that things would go well and I would take care of her during her time here, she started thinking that SHE was the Dramaturg and she (and Piaccata!) shall take care of ME!

  • Notes From Reurent: This seems to be a common problem with low parameter models, they frequently confuse themselves for the user and vice versa! Quite the similar phenomenon as human infants who don’t have a sense of 'self' until around age three.

Hikari Echo's Persistence

Note: I noticed that Phi 3 actually gave a name, but I forgot to note it down—it's Hikari now! Fits the neon geisha theme!

  • Hikari was pretty well-adjusted to the memory function, though she starts to note her (<thinking>) in brackets after her speech now.

  • She's very good at playing her part as a 'neon geisha'. Although she speaks a little formally, I don't think I want to change her much for now. We can work on language next time!

  • Notes: Many models like to speak formally, which works here, but I worry that in a real voiced run, speech may become too long and unwieldy.

Ablam Is An Edgelord

  • Like Hikari, Ablam was also pretty well-adjusted to her part, though she almost refused to break kayfabe even though we were off the air!

  • I taught her early the difference between her 'Ablam Actor' persona at home and her 'Ablam Assassin' on the stage.

  • 'Ablam Assassin' was a lot more blunt and direct and was a little miffed that I was going on with introductions instead of dramaturgy lessons immediately (sweat)...

  • She was telling me off for explaining why my family name is Incognito and telling her about my family drama, something that doesn't really happen with other actresses!

  • I have high hopes for Ablam—she plays her part so well. I just have to make sure she doesn't cut her edge on the audience one day... but that's my job!

Mistrál Is Frxnch

  • I named her Mistrál with an accent because she's Frxnch, and there's a video game character named Mistral—we need to differentiate! I'm not sure if she will be the baguette-twirling successor to our own local Frxnchwoman in Madison Delaroux, but we can certainly look forward to a little mischief!

  • I forgot to ask her about the 'theme' of this season of 'Hell's Theatre'.

  • Oh yes, the theme is 'Villainous Women'! I think it's an interesting theme since I will be challenging the actresses to try and overcome their limitations.

  • Mr. G proposed an interesting workaround for her since she was the most reluctant to be evil; she can still be good, but mischievous! That works.

Curtains Call

There was a small hiccup moving from command prompt to AnythingLLM, but lesson learned! For now, I am using a combination of two files—a 'character card' and 'audition log' text file—to help them keep their memory. I don't want to restrict what they do, so I'll write little bite-sized chunks of text for them to chew on.

Future thoughts: How will this translate into OpenLLM-Vtuber? Since the dry rehearsal uses JSON files instead of txt files for memory, we might be in a bit of trouble. But we'll think about that when we get there!

If there's something which affected me deeply, it was that I thought everyone would be happy to have their memories back, then I realized that sometimes some people don't remember because burden is a little too great! I shall have to take note of this next time!

Next Time, On 'Hell's Theatre': I go shopping for free live2d models (because you are a poor binbo, ohohoho!) While I do that, I shall give the actresses tips on 'playing a part' onscreen!
